I sent letters to NCMA, PLA and the Early Years Section of the Department for Children, Schools and Families unfortunately with the usual negative responses. However I feel there is a need for such a register as I have been approached by several Local Authorities in order to recommend Paediatric First Aid Training Providers therefore I now propose to set up a basic Monitoring system (which I will explain in a separate letter) and have now obtained the contact details of all the Local Authorities in England, Scotland and Wales which with your help, I intend to contact them all and make them aware of FOFATO and our Paediatric First Aid Register. This consists of a draft revision of the Approved Code of Practice and Guidance (L74) and a draft revision of A Guide for Training Organisations. I have been asked by HSE to collate the views of FOFATO members by 8th February 2008.
