Fofato News: NEWSLETTER NUMBER 1 IN 2008

NEWS UPDATE (NUMBER 1 in 2008)

23rd JANUARY 2008,

HSE CONSULTATION FEEDBACK

I have received feedback on the current HSE consultation documents from several members but more is still needed. Please remember that I need your feedback in as soon as possible and certainly by 28th January 2008 so that I can collate all your thoughts in order to produce a draft reply for you all to view and comment on before I send it onto HSE.

FOFATO MEMBERSHIP

More Training Organisations have decided to join the Federation and indeed membership is now approaching 200 which represents between 20% and 25% of active FAW Training Organisations.

FOTATO WEBSITE

I hope that all Training Organisations who have received this e-mail are able to get access to the members section of the website. Anybody who is unable to gain access should let me know as soon as possible.

FIRST AID PUBLICATIONS

Members should be aware that they are able to purchase First Aid Publications via the website (Alan Whitlock publications and Dave Olley publications). These publications are widely used in the First Aid Industry and FOFATO Members can purchase these publications at greatly reduced prices.

FIRST AID SUPPLIES

Following requests from FOFATO members I am pleased to say that I will soon be offering First Aid supplies (First Aid Kits, First Aid supplies etc) to FOTATO members again at greatly discounted prices. (KEEP LOOKING AT OUR WEBSITE).

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID APPROVAL

I have recently been asked by some members whether it would be possible to offer an approval system for Paediatric First Aid Training as it is no longer under any Nationally Recognised accreditation since the demise of the NCMA/Pre School Learning Alliance approval scheme which finished in 2006. (Members views required on this one)

IF YOU KNOW ANY FIRST AID TRAINING ORGANISATION THINKING ABOUT JOINING FOFATO

Please ask them to look at our website www.fofato.co.uk and if they require any further information then do not hesitate to ask them to contact me (Ian Kershaw) on 0161 494 9045 or 07786 018451.

YOUR VIEWS ARE IMPORTANT TO ME

If anybody has any thoughts or ideas in relation to improving the website and/or the Federation then please let me know. I am always willing to listen.
