PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID REGISTER

We are now able to offer a registration scheme for FOFATO members who provide Paediatric First Aid Training. The fee is £50 (+ VAT) per year. A certificate of approval will be issued.

Please note that at this stage it will only be an administrative process in order to keep the costs down however if the scheme proves successful then monitoring visits may be introduced in the future.

A comprehensive document -Paediatric First Aid Training Approval Administration Requirements-will also be issued to members.

A copy of the document will be sent to every Local Authority in England, Scotland and Wales. However I will need your assistance in providing me with up to date contact details of the person and unit (within your Local Authority) that deals with Paediatric First Aid training.

Please note that already this year I have been approached by several Local Authorities asking for ?approved? Paediatric Training Organisations.

In order to validate the process on behalf of Local Authorities I will be asking for some documents from you as follows:

Latest HSE visit report form (if HSE registered)
Paediatric First Aid syllabus
Sample lesson plan
Portfolio of 2 Trainers (with Paediatric First Aid experience)
