The Federation of First Aid Training Organisations (FOFATO) was formed in September 2007 by Ian Kershaw MBE (Ex-Head of the First Aid Approval and Monitoring Section (FAAMS) within the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) from 1996-2007 at the request of First Aid Training Providers.
To Create a Powerful Voice across the First Aid Industry
To enable the Federation to openly discuss a variety of difficult issues within the First Aid Industry with HSE as well as other interested parties.
To promote high standards of First Aid Training amongst its members
Promoting high standards of First Aid training amongst its members by ensuring that they are working (as a minimum) to HSE standards.
Projecting Federation Members to potential Clients and Customers
By ensuring high standards of First Aid training we are able to confirm the credibility of our members to current or potential clients and customers.
To Increase Trade and Business within the First Aid Industry
By encouraging an ethic of 'working together' and 'networking' we aim to increase business for Federation members within the First Aid Industry.
